NOTES for POTENTIAL NEW SUPPLIERS

WONDERWORLD is always interested in looking at potential new products to include in our wholesale range for the UK and Europe.   We get regular enquiries from visitors to our website asking us whether we would be interested in various items.

These points are intended to help you get our interest and explain what we expect from our suppliers.

We are NOT trying to find new suppliers for ANY of the specific existing products which you may see on this web-site.   We are entirely satisfied with our suppliers and agents for those products.  Your understanding of this point will build our confidence that you will understand and follow other instructions that we may give you in any future business relationship.

You MUST be the manufacturer.   We avoid dealing with stocking holding intermediaries whenever possible.  Any new supplier must understand and accept our Trading Policy.   This means you must:

  • Provide any staff  with rates, remuneration's and benefits which meet their essential human needs and are, in most cases, above average for your industry.

  • Provide regular, accurate information about wage rates and working conditions of any staff to us and to certain external agencies if required

  • Do not employ children. 

  • Allow us to visit all your manufacturing locations and allow certain external agencies to visit those location.

  • Although not stated specifically in the Trading Policy we would expect to find no restrictions placed by you on your staff joining or forming their own representative organisations.    We would expect to see that you are a good employer with good staff relations.

We need ideas that are not yet available in the UK or Europe.    It would be beneficial if you have some unique, original products. We want high handicraft content: low tech, labour intensive.   Make minimal use of machines, make maximum use of people.  

We place great importance on strict adherence to specifications, quality control and correct packing.
